Overview
SS-31 (also known as Elamipretide or Bendavia) is a mitochondria-targeted tetrapeptide (D-Arg-dimethylTyr-Lys-Phe-NH2). It selectively concentrates in the inner mitochondrial membrane and has been studied for mitochondrial dysfunction, aging, and various age-related conditions. It is currently in clinical trials for multiple indications.
