Overview
Melanotan II is a synthetic analog of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). It was originally developed at the University of Arizona for skin cancer prevention through tanning without UV exposure. Research has also explored its effects on sexual function and appetite suppression. It is NOT FDA-approved for any use.
