DSIP (Delta-Sleep Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide discovered in 1974 from the blood of rabbits in an induced state of sleep. Research focuses on its potential to promote natural delta-wave (deep) sleep, modulate stress responses, and normalize sleep architecture. Its mechanisms remain incompletely understood.
