AOD9604 (Advanced Obesity Drug 9604) is a modified fragment of human growth hormone (hGH fragment 176-191). It was developed at Monash University in Australia specifically to isolate the fat-reducing effects of GH without its growth-promoting or diabetogenic properties. It received GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status from the FDA as a food ingredient.
